The Olympics is often far more than just the medal tally. Countries coming together to compete sometimes find unity in special moments.

The winning divers from China and Italy shared a heartwarming moment on Sunday, as silver medallist He Zi received a surprise marriage proposal from her boyfriend, fellow Chinese diver Qin Kai.

Edmonton Oilers' Octane Cheerleading Squad Disbanded

When the Edmonton Oilers move into their new digs at Rogers Place later this year, they won't be bringing their cheerleaders with them.

The team is looking to move in a "new direction" when it comes to engaging fangs, the Oilers Entertainment group confirmed in a statement Tuesday.

Instead, both men and women will be invited to audition for the team's new “Orange and Blue Ice Crew.” The group would represent the Oilers organization at “games, events, and appearances throughout the community.”

In 2010, the Oilers became the first Canadian NHL franchise to have a cheerleading squad.

The Ottawa Senators are the only Canadian team who still have an in-house all-female cheer squad.

Read the full statement here:

Oilers Entertainment Group confirms the discontinuation of the Oilers Octane. The organization is looking for a new direction related to the fan experience, both in-game and in the community, as we head to Rogers Place for our inaugural season. Details will be announced in the coming weeks. We extend a sincere thank you to all members of Oilers Octane past and present, in particular Dr. Mailie Harris, for their contribution to the organization.

ZTE first made a splash with the Axon name last year by sending out mysterious press invites teasing what eventually became the Axon Pro

The Axon Pro was a respectable first attempt at a flagship-caliber, budget-friendly smartphone. But it ultimately had issues with overheating and wound up being forgettable.

After using the Axon 7 for a week, it's apparent ZTE took the lessons learned from the Axon Pro and applied them here. For a $399 unlocked phone, the Axon 7 punches way above its weight class and easily competes with phones that cost almost twice as much.

A glimpse inside Tesla's super secretive Gigafactory

factory Even having grown up in California, I'm realizing I'm not built for this heat.
We're 30 minutes or so outside of Reno, but it feels like I'm on the sun. I can feel my sunscreen baking off. Why the hell did I wear black today?
It's okay; it's worth it. I'm out here for a glimpse inside Tesla's Gigafactory, days before its official grand opening. Read More

Who wore it better: Melania Trump or Joyce Beatty?

On Thursday night at the Democratic convention, Ohio congresswoman Beatty hit the stage in a white dress that looked remarkably similar to something we saw at the Republican convention last week.

In the ultimate Throwback Thursday, those white puffy sleeves took us right back to Melania Trump's speech. The speech was less about the dress she wore and became about how she lifted some of her speech from Michelle Obama's 2008 address to the Democratic convention.

The folk of Twitter were quick to point out the balloon-sleeve, white number looked like it may have been plagiarized straight from Trump. The copy cat move is either the biggest burn in the convention or the two ladies have impeccable, matching style.  Read more...
